About My Clients

My goal is to help you grow insight and awareness into your struggles and to fully access your strengths in order to pursue new ways of being for a fuller, more connected life.

My Background and Approach

Research shows that one of the most important factors for the success of therapy is the therapist client relationship. I wholeheartedly agree with this and work from that perspective to create a safe, non-judgemental, relational space in service of your healing and growth. I collaborate with you and weave together different therapeutic approaches and theories to best meet your needs. My style is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I strive to work through a trauma-informed, social justice lens.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My work as a therapist is deeply influenced by my own transformational experiences as a therapy client. I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to seek support and actively choose a different path. Born to first-generation Korean immigrant parents, I internalized the shame and stigma of seeking support from an outsider. I was conditioned to pursue a one-dimensional path of success at the cost of ignoring my inner voice and knowing. Therapy helped me to reconnect with my innate wisdom and resilience and to reclaim and take ownership of my narrative. I now seek to offer all that I have learned, back to you. I look forward to joining you in the work of self-discovery, growth, and healing.
