About My Clients
I believe therapy should be goal focused, short term, and effective. I maintain a level of professionalism in sessions, but my goal is to create a safe, comforting, casual space where my client's can be free to be their authentic selves. Most importantly, I will never recommend or teach an intervention to a client that I myself have not utilized throughout my own therapeutic process, including EMDR. If you've ran out of places to hide from your trauma, I am the therapist for you!
My Background and Approach
Although we live in an individualistic society, each individual, with their unique personality and life purpose brings something extraordinary to the table of life. Each one of us is part of a bigger collective and we are responsible for constantly striving to mature and progress on an emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual level. As a result of these beliefs, I utilize a humanistic approach (striving to help people uncover, address, reprocess, and heal from their trauma to meet their highest protentional); while seeing healing through a holistic lens (working to help individuals heal by reconnecting mind, body and spirit).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To put it simply, I am a human and no different than any other individual that experiences heartbreak, sadness, anger, and disappointment. I have had my fair share of trauma. I have experienced mental illness within my own family, historical trauma (Armenian Genocide 1915), & have had to deal with the consequences of my not so healthy choices from my past. I am single mother, so I know that the parenting struggle is real. To maintain my own overall well being I spend quite time with myself, meditating, engaging in sound, crystal, & chakra healing therapies. I read books and listen to audio books that resonate with my spirit. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter and family, taking frequent trips to Disneyland, spending time with friends, watching basketball (GO LAKERS) and football (GO BUCKS/RAMS), sharing a meal with my loved ones, tending to my plants, etc. My calling is to help others find peace, thus my most significant hobby is providing therapy.
