About My Clients

If you’re looking to process the childhood you never recovered from, your mother’s inability to nurture you, a toxic workplace environment, and/or your role in someone else’s trauma? We're probably a good fit. Struggling is not a rite of passage and it is time to stop subscribing to that. If you broke the egg? You broke the egg. I specialize in trauma, mother-daughter relationships, and over-functioning.Let’s start romanticizing your life.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is as intersectional as the identities of the clients I work with. Think of our first session as an informal interview. During this time, we will explore your family dynamics, patterns of behavior, and your cast of characters (who do you care about?). As we move forward, we will embark on a path of self-discovery. This includes uncovering your attachment style, strengths, values, and assessing your ability to implement boundaries. We will simultaneously work to build your self-esteem, confidence, and strategize around ways to propel you into the life you envision for yourself. This may be include creating new habits, career coaching, or implementing a radical self-care routine. As you learn more about yourself, I will encourage you to process previous trauma through EMDR, narrative therapy, and CBT. If you're up for it? We will explore your role in someone else’s trauma too.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

First and foremost? I am a proponent of grace and that's a standard that I hold all of my clients to. When you tell me you can’t? I’m going to tell you that you can. If we’re laughing and you say, “I’m dead.” I’m going to remind you that you’re alive. The subconscious doesn't have a sense of humor. As your advocate? I’m always pro whatever you decide to do (as long as that doesn’t include racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, and restricting access to abortion. Some things are bigger than you and it's important that you know that.). With that being said? My professional background is rooted in social justice, anti-oppression, and inclusivity. My therapeutic approach is an incorporation of all of those things with an emphasis on how intersectionality shapes how we see and experience the world. I focus heavily on helping clients unlearn negative stigmas rooted in racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, etc.
