My Background and Approach
We are on a journey to identify and honor your strengths and needs. You have felt marginalized and overlooked too many times because you live life outside norms and expectations. This has been discouraged when it should be celebrated! It is time to rediscover yourself as the joyful, powerful person you are. To reclaim your identity, embrace your strengths, and nurture your diversity. I have been on my own journey with faith, and know that it is the variety and authenticity in the world that makes it beautiful. I know that the world likes uniformity and that our Creative people have suffered, been shut down, and may not even know the extent of their individuality. This creates chronic mental health problems! By taking the time, space, and support you need to identify your needs and strengths, you can reclaim your authenticity embrace your strengths, and live a happy and fulfilling life that is all your own.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up with many rules and expectations that smothered my authenticity and left me feeling profoundly unhappy. Blind to my own creative personality, I sought support from the mental health system, which ultimately also failed me. I was never seen as the creative person I was. Later, in Graduate School, I wrote a thesis on the relationship between mental health and creativity. I was awakened through research to commonalities creative personalities shared: their strength, power, need to make meaning and live authentically. I also found the more creative people were, the more they needed to create to be well. These became foundational to my work. I created a philosophy for myself that I now share with other creative people, to help them change their lives. I live as an example of reclaiming your creative identity and power, and making your dreams come true! You don’t need to struggle the way I did. I am here to help you change your life!
