About My Clients
Do you feel trapped, like you can't move forward? I chose this profession because I believe people are resilient and can heal. You can move past these challenging times and propel forward with the change you want in your life. We are all deserving of life satisfaction and finding meaning in our everyday lives. My specialty is trauma and I am trained in EMDR. I often see clients with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and sports performance issues.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my approach to the needs of each client. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, I will work with you to resolve your most pressing concerns, gain insight into how you have been impacted by your past experiences, and relieve discomfort and emotional pain. Our work will focus on the core issues to establish long-term changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The norm for mental health professionals is to not over disclose personal beliefs and information. I am going to go against the norm and tell you a little about myself. I believe that humor has a place in healing and I often bring humor to my sessions. I believe that people have the capacity to change and that we are extremely resilient. I believe that we decide our behavior and attitude and that therapy can assist us in being the person we want to be. I believe that sometimes bad things happen and it doesn't have to have a reason, but we can process through it utilizing trauma-informed therapy (EMDR). And finally, I don't know what people do without sports, they mean so much to me, I am a die-hard ASU, PHX Suns, and Saints fan (I also provide therapy services for athletes).
