I have extensive experience in working with clients suffering from depression. I offer clients tools and techniques to manage a depressive episode. In addition, I provide a modern perspective on how an episode can be used for growth and future healing.
I have worked with many clients recently diagnosed with bipolar, and I also work with clients that are experiencing a manic or depressive episode. Bipolar can disrupt life and cause chaos and suffering. My goal in working with clients is to help them understand what bipolar looks like in their life. Just because you are diagnosed as bipolar it does not have to define your life. You are more than your diagnosis.
Adolescence can be a confusing time with so many changes happening internally and externally. Not to mention social and academic pressures. I help teens and tweens learn skills to regulate their emotions and get curious about their uniqueness and individuality. I have extensive work with adolescents in both individual and group therapy.
Relationships can provide connection, meaning and purpose in life. They impact our health and happiness. We are not taught how to navigate or nurture our relationships as situations and people change. I work with partners to address communication skills so that each person feels seen and heard. In addition, I help partners uncover their unmet needs and attachment style. Kindness and curiosity allow room for exploration and insight.
To be human is to endure pain and hardship. I utilize existential therapy to help clients find meaning and value in their lives, despite the challenges and hard times.
Our bonds with our early caregivers form the basis for our future relationships. I help clients uncover their attachment style and understand how their early experiences impact their adult relationships today.
I utilize ACT to help clients get out of their head and engaged in what truly matters to them in life. ACT combines talk therapy with behavioral interventions to help clients live their best lives, despite life's challenges.
