About My Clients
If you are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and/or sadness. You find you can't sleep at night because your brain is clouded with negative thoughts and worries. You may be feeling stuck, or even at a loss at where or how to begin your journey to a life of self-acceptance, wholeness, and truly thriving. I have experience working with folks experiencing depression, anxiety, survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, generational trauma, and general PTSD.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is through a Person Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy lens. I earned my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and I am also trained in EMDR therapy. My specialties are LGBTQ issues and experiences, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the opportunity to heal and grow. I believe that progress takes time and unhealthy behaviors can be unlearned in time. I am an active member in the LGBTQ community, I volunteer at our local food pantry and as a sexual assault advocate, and have participated in my own healing process. I am a self-proclaimed nerd who loves books, video games, and rainy days.
