I strive to create a safe and brave space where clients are able to express themselves comfortably and be as emotionally vulnerable as they would like to be. I aim to help my clients create healthy boundaries, not only with others but with themselves, as well.
Having gone through my own journey with therapy, I am empathic to how difficult the process can be and the feeling of wanting to be heard and understood. My experience in therapy has influenced my own practices, in which I use person centered strategies. These include:
Motivational Interviewing- an approach in which clients learn to find the internal motivation to make positive change in their life.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- an approach in which clients learn how to identity and change inaccurate or negative thinking patterns in order to view certain situations more clearly.
