About My Clients
I enjoy working with clients who may feel stuck in their lives and relationships and who want to pursue professional and personal growth. I have expertise working with individuals and couples who are going through experiences of grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and conflict.
My Background and Approach
I received my training in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas & St. Catherine School of Social Work and have received advanced postgraduate training with the Minnesota Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis (MICP&P). I help clients identify ways in which they relate to others that at one time may have been self-protective but now are causing conflict, feelings of isolation, or just the feeling that something isn’t quite right in their lives. As part of my practice I help clients integrate meditation, breathing, and body awareness into their daily lives as a way to reduce anxiety and improve overall well- being. I value the arts, nature, and exercise as powerful forces for wellness. I am a musician in my own time, and as a result I may encourage clients to explore ways they can integrate the arts, nature, or creativity into their lives as a way to enhance mental health.
