I have been on both sides of an Affair, and understand each situation is different. The reason why someone steps out of their relationship, is not always a straight forward answer.

Growing up a Hispanic male, I was always taught to hide your emotions, because you will be perceived as weak. Through therapy, I was able to understand the power in being vulnerable, and the strength and courage it took to embrace my emotions, and not hide from them.

Often people are seeking to fill a void that may have been created in the relationship, or that stems from their past.

In order to allow the wounds to heal properly, we may have to go back and relive past arguments and trauma. It won't always be easy, but it is necessary.
