I treat depression in a holistic way, with my client I consider both the symptoms, and treat them with a mix of CBT and interpersonal approaches as well as the context and the distressors that might have triggered the appearance of the depression.

With Anxiety we tailor the approach to what has been more effective to the client. We try to distinguish between top-down and bottom-up anxiety. (Anxiety caused by thoughts or more by a body misreading of social cues). And we adapt the intervention to that, we use mindfulness, breathing exercises, desensitization and cognitive techniques.

We use an approach based on the executive functions of Russel Barkley in a practical and effective way. We use a lot of feedback as well as guided goals and techniques to help the client to regain agency and functionality from the beginning of the treatment.

I have been trained in psychodynamic therapy since 2002 in different institutions both in Spain and in the USA, I have been able to use this approach effectively and add it holistically with other techniques to ensure a more long lasting recovery.

Trained at the Ackerman Institute of New York in 2010 I have been practicing the approach for the last decade mainly with couples and families with intergenerational conflicts.

Trained since 2002 in the CBT approach I have been using it to treat symptoms of depression, anxiety and phobias between others. I have been able to treat effectively plenty of clients and have a great ratio of positive discharges in which the client has been able to recoup their functionality to pre appearance of the symptoms levels.
