About My Clients

My clients are put together, focused and successful women. Yet, deep inside there is something missing. Symptoms of anxiety or depression may circulate throughout the month, it doesn’t necessarily ruin their day, but it doesn’t make for an easy flow with family, career or intimate relationships. They are searching for more peace and acceptance and are looking for someone to support them in getting there. My clients are also couples who want to learn to communicate and deepen their intimacy.

My Background and Approach

I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative exchange. I am not the expert but a guide on the side helping you uncover the conditioning, negative beliefs, and patterns that hold you hostage. I listen deeply, reflect, and support you with compassion and warmth to dive deeper into the vulnerability that is longing to be seen. We are building a relationship and it is through the truth and trust in that relationship that you can begin to study yourself, your habits, your thoughts, and your feelings, allowing you to heal your wounded, unacknowledged parts. My approach blends talk therapy, somatic therapy, and engaging exercises that help you notice what is going on within in order to bring those parts forward. Then you can decide what you want to keep and what needs to go away.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Learning to make peace with what is, is the most valuable thing in life. It’s not easy. We want things, and we often want things to be different. But when we can see life on life’s terms and be with what is really happening, we have the chance to go deeper inside and learn about the ways we project ideas, fantasies and expectations on ourselves and others. When we can get out of the way of those ideas and learn about the ways we defend ourselves in order to protect, we have an opportunity to begin to let those defenses down to feel our vulnerability. I believe it is in that vulnerability that we truly experience a richer, more meaningful life. So, I practice awareness. Some call it mindfulness, but I think it’s bigger than that. Becoming conscious and staying curious, while asking questions is a skill I have been developing inside for decades. I hope to inspire my clients to do the same. I find it to be a gentler and more compassionate way to live.
