About My Clients

Do you feel stuck in your life? Do you find yourself feeling anxious, or depressed and you don't know what to do about it? Do you ruminate or are you self-aggressive? Maybe you are aware of patterns or habits you'd like to change. I know this experience. I too have been stuck before. It can feel scary to lack clarity, vitality, and direction. Life does not have to be this way and I can help you reconnect with your wisdom and well-being. I take private pay clients only.

My Background and Approach

As a graduate of Naropa University in the Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology program, I practice Contemplative Psychotherapy, an approach rooted in mindfulness and compassion that brings about transformation by focusing on present-moment experiences with an open, caring heart. This approach has proven to be effective for a variety of symptoms, including stress, anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation and uncertainty, self-aggression, and intrusive thoughts. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, and creative space for clients to come into contact with all aspects of themselves. I invite clients to courageously pause, slow down, get curious, and offer compassion to their direct experience—beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Over time, this practice builds awareness, inner trust, and resiliency. So, no matter how difficult your circumstances, you will have confidence in your choice and response.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe you are already whole, worthy, wise, and compassionate. I believe you have the capacity to grow, change, and make choices in support of the life you desire. Yet, through life, you have experienced painful things. This is inevitable, it is part of being human, and it is not your fault. These painful things have caused you to resist, avoid, or ignore the feelings associated with the painful events. This is suffering, protecting, and cutting yourself off from accessing the wholeness of your being. I believe these habitual behaviors to protect you from feeling uncomfortable feelings is the root cause of many of the mental health issues. The good news is the radical act of choosing curiosity over judgment, finding courage in the face of fear, and offering compassion to your pain and suffering can help you reclaim your well-being. At times we all need support to help us find our way. Through therapy, I found my way out of a lonely and stuck place. I can help you do the same.
