Throughout the course of my career, I've worked in residential treatment, Higher Education (student development), and college counseling. This led to the development of my own private practice, in which I'm able to give special attention to marginalized populations in a therapeutic environment. I regularly speak and present on mental health, single parenthood, motherhood, child development, bullying, and boundaries. My focus includes anxiety and depression and the impact of race and gender in the lives of my clients. Not only is my approach trauma-informed, but it is also social justice informed. I enjoy looking at family history and try to treat clients with more of a psychodynamic approach, really looking at my clients' different needs. It's important to me to meet my clients where they are and help them through the process
As a social worker, I also supervise and train other social workers seeking independent licensure.
