About My Clients
I work primarily with individuals and couples who are hoping to work through anxiety and depression. I have extensive experience helping clients work through addictions, identity crises, self-esteem/confidence issues, emotion management and past traumas. I work with people from a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities and identities and have a particular expertise in working with people of color and the LGBTQIA community. I prioritize creating a respectful and non-judgmental environment.
My Background and Approach
In our therapeutic relationship, we will start by building a trusting relationship then discussing relevant themes and processes to help better understand your emotions. In our work together, we will discuss the past and the present while also developing the future you would like to walk towards. I combine grounding techniques and mindfulness with empathy, positivity, authenticity, and humor. My goal is to help you process your experiences, encourage self-acceptance and growth, and set realistic expectations for yourself and others. Each session is unique according to each person’s individual needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that meditation and doing the inner work are the most important pieces to growing as an individual. Changes come when we are able to apply ourselves and work towards our goals (with some help of course). I stand for historically excluded and underrepresented communities. Through this work and speaking with the youth in my spare time I am able to contribute to my community.
