About My Clients
Have you experienced relentless self-criticism? The internal dialogue constantly tells you that you're not good enough or always comparing yourself to others. I know how that feels. You experience being overwhelmed by fear that you will never be able to get out of your head. Cognitive and somatic therapies can ease those thoughts and fears. I want to be there for you to assist you in getting rid of that self-criticism and replacing it with self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
Sometimes, life's challenges become heavy on our shoulders, and we need some support to help lighten the load. My goal is to focus on your strength, empower and apply your current skill set to help overcome life's hurdles. I will embrace you with an open, empathetic, supportive, and direct approach. I will use multiple approaches to assist you. I will utilize what fits you best, whether that is a more cognitive approach or incorporating somatic techniques to assist you in reaching your goal. For example, we may need to work as a team to identify how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors. We may need to work with your inner child by allowing that child to have space to process things that didn't allow them to feel physically and emotionally safe. Most importantly, my role is to find what works best for you and give you the tools to reach your goal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the right to self-determination and choosing their own path. I also believe in accepting and caring for individuals as they are, no matter their identified gender, race, religion, sexuality, body-abilities, or occupation. If you want to learn more about how I can support you, feel free to contact me. At the Feelings Exchange We are in network with a few insurance companies. However, if your insurance plan provides out-of-network mental health coverage, we can provide a monthly statement which you may submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Additionally, if your employer provides a "flex account" or a Health Savings Account (HSA), you may be eligible for reimbursement from that account.
