About My Clients
As a marriage and family therapist is affirmative of all relationship configurations and identities. I am passionate about working within the LGBTQ+ community and non-monogamous folks who are looking to heal, restore love, and find new ways of connection. I practice from trauma informed and harm reductive relational-cultural practice.
My Background and Approach
My training as a Couple and Family Therapist has included working with individuals as well as couples, triads, families of origin, chosen families, roommates, and many other relationship configurations. Therapy is both a safe place and a brave space where I will provide a listening and empathetic ear for healing. You as the client hold the power to steer your story and you are the only expert on yourself. It is my hope to help remove obstacles to growth and help heal. I am active and collaborative in sessions, restructuring interactions to build healthy and secure attachment. As a member of the LGBTQ community, exploring intersectionality is a dynamic I strive for. My passion is working with LGBTQ+, couples exploring non-monogamy, and interethnic couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is not going to solve global and systemic issues. But I fully believe acknowledging systems of oppression while finding liberation through resiliency, joy, and rage, are ways in which we can navigate the world.
