Adolescence is HARD! From one transition to the next, it can get complicated and overwhelming. I have a particular interest in working with adolescents who are struggling with identity issues, eating disorders, past or current trauma, or emerging personality disorders.
Working with folks who struggled with disordered eating and body image issues is one of my passions. I show up with a Health at Every Size motto and work to support you through your journey.
Looking for a space to find your best Queer self? Heal Trauma? Process who you are and who you want to be? That's my jam and I want to help prompt thought and provide a safe space to do so! I am a Queer therapist who wants to continue to work with my community.
Relational therapy is all about how you show up in your life- how your identities interact within your relationships and day to day life. The important piece of this is that we will build rapport, a therapeutic relationship, in order to do work together! It's pretty awesome.
I want to hear your story. I want to hear the way you remember it but maybe prompt some additional thought about what this experience may have actually meant to you.
Attachment Theory has a time and place- if we are talking about your development as a child and the relationships you have formed-- yes! Let's talk about it! I like to include this when it makes sense-- I'm not going to shove it down your throat. Sometimes, it's important to think about your attachment to caregivers growing up and how this may now effect your relationships. Let's explore this together!
Harm Reduction is extremely important in the therapeutic relationships that I work to build with you. I wish to work together to support safer options while acknowledging the lack of safety with the current option.
I have a special interest in working with folks who have complex trauma. I am trained in Adaptive Internal Relational Network and this is my main modality. I deeply believe in taking it one step at a time-- meeting you where you are at and supporting you along the way.
