About My Clients
My clients have shared that I quickly put them at ease, do not judge them, and care about their well-being and growth.
My Background and Approach
Feeling anxious, having counterproductive thought patterns, and experiencing trauma can hinder your ability to enjoy life, achieve your goals, and become the person you want to be. Additionally, feeling like you don't belong or are not good enough or deserving of happiness, love, respect, and success can also stand in your way. I believe everyone has strengths and the ability to grow, overcome challenges, and heal, but sometimes, we may need someone to support us on our journey. As your therapist, I will provide a safe, judgment-free space for you to discover, use, and expand your strengths. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to help you gain insight and develop coping strategies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At age 12, I became interested in psychology and becoming a therapist. As a child, my family said I was uniquely attuned to the feelings of others and that I always rooted for the underdog. As a young adult, I was flailing and directionless. Eventually, it became clear I needed a neutral, objective person to help me find my way, so I began seeing a therapist. My therapist helped me find my path and thrive. As your therapist, I will invest time in learning about your background and current situation. Learning about your upbringing, life experiences, and nature and nurture factors will help us understand what may shape your thoughts, behaviors, values, beliefs, personality, strengths, and coping abilities. Together, we will explore what you hope to gain from our work together. Though we will explore what makes you who you are, our focus will be on building upon and using your strengths and gaining insight to help you achieve your goals.
