My Background and Approach
I often work with individuals who are going through big life transitions, are experiencing loss or grief, or want to work on their relationships. I use a compassionate and warm approach to work collaboratively with you through deepened insight for lasting change. I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as a trauma-focused therapy to help relieve uncomfortable and distressful responses to life triggers. The mind-body connection helps to strengthen grounding and regulate the nervous system to include reduced anxiety, deepened positive beliefs about yourself, and a stronger sense of trust in self and others. I work with individuals experiencing chronic pain using Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) to help change the relationship with pain. The outcome of PRT is a decrease of anxiety and fear for reduced or eliminated pain.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy can be revolutionary. Big life changes don't always happen overnight and it isn't always a linear path, yet you can see changes from the start.
