You want to find day-to-day freedom from anxious, negative thinking and overwhelm - and to profoundly heal the ripple effects of painful life experiences. You're a unique, complex, multi-faceted being and there's no "one-size-fits-all" approach here! I'm highly committed to effective, kind and impactful therapy that meets you exactly where you’re at - and then invites you further, always at a pace that feels empowering, productive and safe for YOU. I'll help you tap into a capacity, strength and clarity that will surprise you. I use a relational, mindfulness-, somatic- and neuroscience-informed, trauma-focused approach that draws upon and creatively blends many proven modalities (Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Brainspotting and Emotional Freedom Techniques, to name a few). My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I know what it's like to struggle and to heal. I seek to ease suffering in this world, particularly among our most vulnerable populations. I'm an animal rescuer, advocate and vegan. I'd love to create a humane animal education and therapy program to facilitate a healing connection between humans and animals. Volunteering to help my community is important to me. I'm a biracial, bicultural, white-passing, cisgender, educated woman. I recognize that I've enjoyed relative privilege and access to opportunities/resources that others have not. I want to examine my cultural lineage of oppression, marginalization and colonization - both as a perpetrator and a recipient. I aim to take an active, non-bystander, non-performative stance on racism, speciesism, ableism, heteronormativity, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, misogny, sexism, fatphobia, xenophobia and white supremacy, and to uncover and work with the implicit bias and "isms" that arise within me.
