About My Clients

Welcome! I often work with therapists and healthcare professionals who benefit from processing work related grief and trauma and learning strategies for wellbeing at work; highly sensitive people/empaths who deeply process the sensory inputs and events around them; leaders who want to tend to their own wellbeing and foster healthier communities and organizations; and those seeking a more interconnected experience of life including nature connection and spirituality. I hope you'll reach out.

My Background and Approach

Having the opportunity to tell our stories and be truly heard holds so much power for healing and growth. As a counselor, I incorporate concepts and techniques from narrative therapy. This is a way of working together to better understand where your story came from and where you want it to go. This strengths-based approach helps with envisioning a new way forward, and may include a framework of post-traumatic growth. I am a relational and person-centered therapist: it’s important to me to be present and provide a steady, supportive environment for processing life’s challenges and difficult experiences. I draw on various theories as needed, incorporating mindfulness-based approaches including meditation and other supportive methods. I welcome clients to bring up spiritual topics and meaning-of-life questions for exploration together. I incorporate a trauma- and grief-informed approach to therapy. Ecotherapy/nature connection is also an important part of my practice.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I see working as a counselor as a way to support a more just and compassionate world through improving individual and community wellbeing. My goal as a counselor is to enact a respectful, empowering, client-centered approach to therapy. It is important to me to support social justice by living a commitment to personal action against racism, sexism, bigotry, and other forms of hate. It is important to me to be an ally for the LGBTQ+ community and other communities that have faced historical oppression and still do. I stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities in New Mexico and elsewhere in support of awareness and action regarding missing and murdered Indigenous girls, women, two spirit, and other Indigenous persons. I value interconnectedness and reciprocity in interacting with the natural world, and value caring for the earth and all living beings.
