About My Clients
My clients are mostly Asian American women and Latina professionals who have been socialized to focus on others or their careers yet have lost touch with their inner voice. Many may be feeling depleted, worrisome, or struggling with self doubt and/or relational challenges. Many have a history of familial conflict, whether cultural, generational, and/or gender expectation differences.
My Background and Approach
With over 20 years of providing psychotherapy & supervision, I'm able to incorporate various mind-body-emotion-soul approaches with multicultural and feminist frames. You will learn to: Recognize unhelpful and likely unconscious patterns within the cultural context; better manage your emotional upheaval; understand and shift toward integrating more effective and adaptive relational and soul-enriching skills. We will identify, leverage and learn more skills to add to your own wisdom, and you can expect to feel more grounded and reconnect with your inner power and centeredness, to feel more connected with others.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life could present with variety of wounding and soul depleting experiences that could trigger emotional upheavals, shape how we navigate our world, sometimes weighing us down and debilitating us. I don’t believe in simply relieving the symptoms of anxiety or trauma. Often these have deeper roots, and we will unpack those heavy “baggage” that you may unconsciously be carrying. We'll work to incorporate healthier, heart and soul-nourishing practices. It’s not that you won’t have difficulties in your life, but that you’ll learn and know that you’ll figure it out and be able to get through whatever challenges you face, to be less emotionally reactive, and you’ll still be able to have genuine smiles and appreciate the twists and turns of your life. I look forward to empowering your capacity to come into your true self within your cultural relations, to come into your power as you heal, balance, and learn to attune to your own mental and heart wisdom.
