Relationships often have a way of reflecting to us the most wonderful aspects of our lives and ourselves, as well as our greatest struggles and fears. I am passionate about helping couples reconnect to what draws them together, learn from what causes friction or pulls them apart, and more skillfully communicate and support one another through the inevitable ups and downs of life and their relationship.
I love the quote “You’re perfect just as you are...and you could use a little improvement.” I'm constantly humbled and inspired by the ways we can learn and grow from slowing down, receiving support and exploring the many layers of our experience. When we are able to meet life's challenges with compassion and curiosity, I believe we deepen our capacity for intimacy and connection with ourselves and others.
I take a holistic approach to working with anxiety, keeping in mind the many factors that can contribute to it (career, relationships, environment, social issues, family and upbringing, etc.) as well as the various ways we can experience it (cognitively, emotionally, physically/somatically, and spiritually). I often bring in somatic and mindfulness approaches to better understand and attend to our experience as well as practical tools for managing and reducing stress and anxiety.
