About My Clients

I work with adult individuals and couples. Some of my areas of interest and experience include: life transitions, grief, anxiety and depression, trauma, struggles in relationships, self-doubt / “inner critic” and perfectionism, existential questions and/or spiritual yearning, searching for life goals and direction, and ongoing personal growth. I appreciate helping clients through "stuck" points and deepening/rekindling intimacy with themselves and others.

My Background and Approach

With a background in philosophy and massage therapy, I bring both an open, thoughtful mind and an intuitive, body-based grounding awareness. I’m also very curious, pragmatic, and creative. I deeply acknowledge the serious impact of challenging situations, while also at times bringing humor and lightness into one's perspective. With individuals, my intention is to hold an open, curious and safe space for you to connect more deeply with your experience and for us to collaborate in finding ways to support you. With couples, my aim is to help identify and shift dynamics which are causing stress in relationships as well as recognize the strengths and connections which sustain them. I often guide exploration of communication and relationship patterns, slowing down at points of tension or avoidance, and expanding and celebrating moments of connection and understanding.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power of looking inward and finding ways to feel “at home” in your body as well as feeling “at home” in the world. My relationships with family, friends, and spouse serve as a primary source of inspiration for me to continually learn and grow. From personal experience, I know how relationships can be both deeply challenging and incredibly rewarding. If we can find the patience, courage and support to stay present, I believe these challenges bring an invitation to better understand what's happening for us, ultimately leading to greater intimacy and connection with ourselves and others. I also believe that we each possess a great deal of wisdom that offers guidance in simple (though not necessarily easy) ways for us to embody. Therapy can offer time and space to be heard, seen, and supported exactly as you are, so that you may find a way to move towards where you would like to go.
