About My Clients

I specialize in seeing women - and focus on perinatal mental health, trauma, and stress & anxiety. Most of my clients are feeling stuck. You're carrying a heavy load and you might not be quite sure how you got here. One thing you know for sure - you can't keep carrying it. You’re been suffering for too long. You deserve to heal and be well. You deserve to leave this behind you and enjoy your life again! And you're busy. If therapy doesn't fit well into your life - it's just not going to happen.

My Background and Approach

I'm trained in CBT and Brainspotting. I love using Brainspotting with my clients - it provides us with a more rapid (but also more intense) path toward healing. I'm a trained educator for the Bringing Baby Home program from the Gottmans. I also integrate a lot of different styles and modalities into my work. We'll talk about nutrition, we'll talk about sleep and habits, we'll talk about coping and communication and mindfulness and whatever else we need to talk about to help you heal and get you back to feeling like you. My style is conversational and relaxed. I'm not a stiff therapist who acts like they're not a real person, it's just not who I am. I have a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago. I've worked in a lot of different settings with a lot of different people. But honestly all of that all matters less than me being the right person for you. That's the most important thing - am I a good fit for you to feel ok digging into the uncomfortable icky stuff?

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm LGBTQIA+ accepting and affirming. I am actively engaged in my own anti-racism work. All are welcome in my practice. I'm heavily involved in perinatal mental health, and am on the board for the Wisconsin Chapter of Postpartum Support International as well as a climb leader for the PSI annual fundraising event Climb Out of the Darkness. It's a great organization serving all kinds of families around the world.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
