About My Clients

In my 15 years in mental health care, I've been honored to work alongside clients facing life transitions, relationship and workplace conflict, cultural marginalization, and chronic illness. I specialize in supporting folks who experience complex trauma, moral injury, compassion fatigue, and systems barriers. With a specific heart for those in fields of healthcare, crisis & first response, and education.

My Background and Approach

I have a Master of Social Work Degree from Tulane University, and BAs in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Michigan State University. I have been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014, and have experience in mental health and health care since 2006. I approach this work from a humanistic and pragmatic perspective. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore what's most meaning meaningful to you, as well as ways to build more meaning into your everyday life. Drawing from various evidence-based therapies, we will collaborate to create individualized solutions for the outcomes you want. The work we do together will be deliberate and dynamic, with your well-being at it's heart.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy can help us understand our feelings, motivations, and capacity for change. While traditional individual therapy is focused solely on the client, I approach this work from a systems perspective. Yes, I meet with you individually -- but I view you as a person that is impacted by relationships, social environments, and cultural connections. Together we will examine personal beliefs, values, and behaviors, as well as how these identities are formed and what their influences could be. Many of the interventions I use are based in theories that recognize and value individual integrity, autonomy, and ability to change. This is helpful when we experience unreliable or harmful thoughts that then impact mood and behaviors. When we face societal or cultural pressure and bias, I prioritize interventions that are rooted in compassion, equity, access, and safety. My goal is to support you in finding balance between personal growth and systemic accountability.
