About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who has faith in the process of therapy and the change and healing that can come along with it. An ideal client is someone who feels comfortable in working with me because trust is key to a positive therapeutic relationship.
My Background and Approach
I have two years of clinical experience working with clients using both traditional therapy techniques and creative arts therapy. I have clinical experience working with clients of all ages with a variety of disorders such as but not limited to; borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I have experience with administering art therapy assessments as well as other art interventions to aid in therapeutic goals. My approach to therapy focuses on humanistic and person-centered techniques as well as cognitive and dialectical behavioral techniques. I believe in the importance of providing a collaborative space where the client and I can work together to develop goals and proper courses of action. I strive to create an environment that feels safe and comfortable for clients and myself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a strong believer and advocate for equality and equity. I believe it is important to recognize individuality and uniqueness and to push for equal opportunity and resources. I am an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community as well as the Black Lives Matter Movement. I am also an advocate for bodily autonomy. I have a lot of volunteer experience working with children and adults with developmental/physical disabilities as well as older adults with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's.
