About My Clients

YOU... Are idealistic and driven (sometimes to the point of perfectionism and inner criticism). Give to others (with little left for yourself). Work hard to fulfill duties (yet feel like you should be doing more). Think intensely and feel deeply (but it's difficult to contain it all). Ask life's BIG questions (yet end up with more uncertainty than direction). Want to pivot or transition (but are unsure of the next step). I'm here to help you gain confidence to move forward on your journey.

My Background and Approach

I work predominantly from a humanistic, existential, strengths-based lens. In layman's terms? It means I work with clients collaboratively to help find meaning and purpose in their lives. I provide my clients with ample opportunity to express themselves through creative avenues, including art and writing. My former careers in graphic design and education refined my love of creativity, curiosity, and compassion for people.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in potential, possibility, and the incredible capacity of the human spirit to overcome and be strengthened by challenge and opposition. As a therapist, I welcome all, celebrate and honor uniqueness, and don't discriminate. I'm open to feedback and making therapy work for YOU. I understand well where my clients are coming from. I've had my own fair share of panic attacks, decade-long bouts of people-pleasing, and a quarter-life crisis to boot. Commitment to growing through my own therapy (go figure!) and redefining my role in all kinds of relationships led me to a more balanced way of being. I've also discovered a late-in-life love for calico cats — I can't say that hasn't helped move the meter just a little more towards max happiness. It's still a journey, of course, but as Van Gogh described, "I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart." From this space of purpose and integrity, I want the same sense of well being for my clients.
