About My Clients

Your story is important. Your experience is important. Your life is important. Whatever is it you are struggling with, you no longer have to hold onto shame or judgement. You are good enough as you are and it is your complexities that make you uniquely you. In therapy we will work to understand your current darkness and let your strengths shine through, forgotten or unknown as they may be.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy honors and privileges your unique story. I work to support clients in gaining clarity on themselves and their struggles through gaining clarity on the many layers of influence that surround. I work to support folks to understand and define, to build and craft their place within themselves, their families, their communities, their countries, our world. I work through talk therapy and am always influenced by my art therapy background. I hold steadfast to the knowledge that each of us is creative and has the innate tools and knowledge we need to survive, heal and grow. We will use art and conversation to uncover and wield those tools. My professional journey has guided me to work in schools, hospitals, homeless shelters, prisons, and most recently, into family’s homes. My online private practice is currently growing and I resource all I have learned from these diverse settings to support whomever joins me in telehealth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I was born and raised in Philadelphia and spent my childhood running through it’s parks. I received my master’s degree in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. I credit these cities for teaching me that struggle and family connect us all. Philly continues to show me the harsh juxtapositions inherent to life; Wealth and poverty. Nature and development. Life and death. Injustice, racism and bigotry are not natural or inherent to humans- they are constructed and upheld by society, by man made systems. It is up to me as a young, able bodied, white woman to push back against and tear down these oppressive systems that only a small portion of us benefit from. My work is firmly rooted in anti-racist, identity affirming practice. I am not an authority figure in our work together. I am here to walk beside you on your journey. I am here to support your personal dreams and goals.
