When we are growing up, we are taught what to think, but not HOW to think. You might notice that you are feeling stressed and your heart is racing, and maybe you have been repeating the same task over and over again, but are you aware of what you are thinking? Most people do not stop in the middle of a panic attack and ask themselves, what am I thinking right now? I help people learn how to identify and change their thoughts, feelings, and actions in ways that are more helpful to both them and their loved ones. Therapy is not one size fits all. Everyone is special and unique in their own ways, and I take this into consideration when I am helping others. There are many tools available- sometimes it's just a matter of learning them and determining which tools work best for YOU.
