About My Clients
I offer individual, relational, and sex therapy for those who are seeking a new way to show up. I specialize in helping people with their relationships and discovering meaningful ways of living. We will determine what it is you want to work towards in therapy and create a treatment plan that includes your goals. I specialize in eating disorder recovery, perinatal/postpartum concerns, parenting exhaustion/burnout, and sexual concerns/sexual exploration. And, I enjoy working with other therapists!
My Background and Approach
Between stimulus and response is the space to choose, based on your values. Determine how you want to show up in your life and in your relationships. Heal burnout and exhaustion. Learn to be gentle with yourself while also holding yourself accountable for changing your behavior. Explore and understand the function of your defenses that are barriers to meaningful living. Tune into what’s in front of you. Be in your body. Be intentional. I bring warmth, curiosity, practicality and a sex-positive approach to both individual and relational therapy. Mindfulness, compassion, skill building to increase resilience, and reflection are at the core of our therapy. I provide education, safety, and sensitivity so that we can collaborate and explore your values, obstacles, sexuality, family dynamics, and wounds from the past to foster meaningful changes in your life or relationship. You don't have to suffer, and your relationship doesn't have to suffer.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that you are not broken; things can get better. There are good reasons for the problems you are having; we just have to figure out what they are. It can be affected by age, health, psychological concerns, and relationship dynamics, as well as by daily life taking its toll. Some of these things can be changed. For others, you need to adapt to a new normal. Either way, you can create your best possible life. I have experienced times in my life when I knew I had to change my behavior and heal wounded parts, and it was very hard work. I could not have done it without support and guidance, which is why I am in the service of others as a profession.
