About My Clients
Are you feeling anxious, struggling to follow your dreams or having difficulties in your relationships with others? Are you struggling with the impact of past traumatic experiences? If so, therapy can be helpful! My approach centers on fostering connection and healing. I prioritize a trauma-informed perspective, shifting the question from 'what's wrong with you?' to 'what happened to you?'. This approach is particularly empowering for trauma survivors, who may have received multiple diagnoses.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's from the University of Maryland. My practice is shaped by a number of core principles. I employ a trauma-informed perspective, shifting from 'what's wrong with you?' to 'what happened to you?', empowering trauma survivors. Integrating attachment theory, I recognize the importance of human connections in healing. With a neurobiological lens, I explore the mind-body connection in trauma and stress. I use evidence-based therapies like IFS and EMDR, aiding in profound healing. In sessions, I focus on developing practical skills to manage stressors, while also examining negative patterns in the present and exploring the root causes of your struggles. My practice spans diverse challenges like trauma, grief, depression, chronic pain, and relationship difficulties, aiding individuals across the lifespan. Additionally, I support caregivers in navigating parenting complexities.
