About My Clients
To the outside world, you are successful. But, inside, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, and spent. You give of yourself to others until you have nothing left and feel guilty for getting irritated with the people you love. As you tell yourself to “keep it together”, and others tell you to “go take a break”, it’s hard to do either of those things. If you take that break, will it be ok? What will you do? Will you still be valuable?
My Background and Approach
I work with you to help answer these questions. In Therapy, we will explore the many layers of your composition -- the identities, masks, walls that have been necessary to survive. This exploration involves experiencing emotions that have often been shut down and talking about your thoughts, dreams, feelings. As a committed and trained clinician, I facilitate this exploration, witness, challenge, reflect, curiously question as well as journey with you into a deeper layer of knowing - a knowing of yourself as you relate to you and as you relate to others. I work with you to find deeper understanding and awareness of why you do what you do and give you the opportunity to help you rework those patterns that are often connected to early and important relationships. This type of work may take longer as these problems did not just occur. However, change that occurs through this kind of work is long lasting and deeply meaningful.
