About My Clients
Art making serves as a catalyst to connect to your body on a deeper level. I believe it is intrinsically healing and revealing. In our work together, I hope that you will discover, the artwork always finds a way to amplify your voice, and connect you to your body. I sincerely feel humbled to guide you toward honoring your intuition and uncover your power.
My Background and Approach
I am dual credentialed as a registered art therapist and licensed professional counselor in the state of LA. I have worked in a variety of settings such as, day treatment programs, alternative schools, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings. My approach to Art Therapy utilizes both an Art as Therapy and Art Psychotherapy theoretical orientation. I consider myself a trauma sensitive, somatic informed Art Therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe art is a language everyone once spoke fluently- an innate ability we all possess. As children, we use visual imagery as a way to understand and navigate our surroundings and this serves as our personal connection to the world. My long relationship to visual art and intimacy with various media informs the way I guide you toward your own personal uncovering and self-exploration. Art is the central force of our work together and we continue to remain open and curious about what story it may reveal.
