About My Clients
My ideal clients are teenagers and young adults facing anxiety and depression, often feeling overwhelmed by academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal identity struggles. They may experience persistent worry, social isolation, and low self-esteem, impacting their relationships and overall well-being. I aim to support those who feel lost, helping them navigate feelings of inadequacy and fear of judgment. Together, we can build resilience, develop coping strategies, and foster hope.
My Background and Approach
I am a clinical psychology trainee with a Psy.D. from California Southern University and an M.S. in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of East London. My education is complemented by a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University, along with certifications in Addiction Treatment and Mental Health Crisis Management. Additionally, I have completed postgraduate coursework at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy, enhancing my ability to provide effective, evidence-based treatment. My specialties lie in supporting teenagers and young adults facing anxiety and depression. I have hands-on experience working with clients who struggle with social anxiety, academic stress, and low self-esteem. By utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients reframe negative thoughts and develop coping strategies tailored to their needs. My goal is to empower you with tools for resilience and improved mental well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mental health professional, I deeply believe in the importance of inclusivity and understanding. I am committed to creating a safe space for all individuals, regardless of their background or identity. I actively support mental health awareness initiatives and advocate for the destigmatization of mental health issues, particularly among marginalized communities. I am passionate about empowering young people to embrace their authentic selves, and I stand firmly with movements like Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ+ rights, as I believe that everyone deserves to feel valued and supported. In my free time, I volunteer with organizations focused on mental health education and suicide prevention, striving to make a positive impact in my community. I am dedicated to fostering resilience and hope in the lives of those I work with and to inspiring others to advocate for their mental health and well-being. Together, we can create a more compassionate and understanding world.
