My Background and Approach
As a certified EMDR and dance/movement therapist, my approach is rooted in the healing power of embodiment, mindfulness and a trusted therapeutic relationship. I offer a relaxed, trauma-informed and non-judgemental space to collaboratively expand on the strengths you already possess and shift the patterns that no longer serve you. By increasing awareness of our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, physical sensations and impulses we can more readily access ways of feeling grounded and empowered in our lives. My approach creates space for all parts of Self and positions the body as a central tool for stabilization and containment during the EMDR process. It supports lasting full body and internal system integration of new information and resources learned during therapy, which is crucial to therapeutic restoration. Together we can unlock your natural potential for growth and restoration where you can settle into your authentic self with confidence and ease.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value curiosity and believe in our innate capacity for healing and growth as humans. I am committed to creating a container of (relative) safety for the humans I see where they can reconnect with their inherent ability to thrive instead of just survive.
