About My Clients
I work with couples and creative types looking for connection and clarity. Typically they have recently experienced a loss or an identity shift; like parenthood, medical diagnosis, career change, or relationship status change. If you are trying to remember the sound of your own voice and how it feels to be wholly you, then I may be your gal.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in the expressive arts and narrative therapy so things often get weird and symbolic in my office. My specialty is life transitions and adjustments and I like to work in a fairly short term model to help clients navigate the waves of change. As part of that work I studied drama therapy and ritual/ceremony as a healing tool. It is my belief that honoring big life changes in ceremony is psychologically imparative. Honestly, I nerd out over theory, but mostly I just use my warmth and empathy to be present with others in times of chaos.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a creative type who believes that individual difference is what makes our world exciting and beautiful. I believe that sex, love, gender, race, spirituality, age, and cultural inheritance are always relevant and should move out of the shadow of uncontious patterns so that we can have access to our whole selves. I am dedicated to continually examining my own privilege and bias through anti-racism educators, trainings, therapy, and self-reflection. At this time my practice is not paneled with any insurance company, but I do provide receipts for those who wish to seek out of network reimbursement.
