About My Clients
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. We know something needs to change but feel lost as to how to make the change. You are not alone. Whether you are a parent wanting help for your child's behavioral or emotional challenges, a teen struggling with big emotions or stressors, or an adult seeking self-improvement, I can help. I believe in maximizing your strengths to help move you towards a future where you anticipate rather than resist the start of a new day.
My Background and Approach
We are relational people and the health of our relationships impacts our ability to show up well, including the relationship between our physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual parts. Working from this place of relationship and attachment, we will identify the challenges you are experiencing and the practical tools you need to thrive by addressing what is happening in the brain and how this impacts your physical and emotional experience. I have additional training in expressive art therapies including child-centered play therapy and sand tray and am a certified PCI® parent coach. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan including young children and use my background in human development and early childhood education to help children as young as 3 and their parents to overcome developmental and relational challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Do you feel stuck in a story of survival? I believe stories are at the core of who we are and that our experiences and history shape our story. As children, we listened to stories, made up stories, and act out stories. As we grow, stories remain at our core. I believe the stories inside us dictate how we show-up in our lives: in our families, in our friendships, in our work. Sometimes these stories help us as we navigate the challenges of life and sometimes our core stories hinder us. I have experienced this in my own life, and I am passionate about helping you or your child/teen learn more about your own story and to create healthier stories that will help you thrive.
