About My Clients
I enjoy working with all types of clients and primarily have worked with teens, adults, parents, and children. I work with people facing a variety of issues/concerns, such as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms. There are many stressors in today's world and we all need extra support from time to time. I love partnering with my clients to help them identify their strengths, improve their coping skills, and move toward healing.
My Background and Approach
I hold a M.A in Counseling and have worked with children, teens, and adults. I use Play Therapy, Trauma therapies, and Mindfulness in my work with clients. I approach the therapeutic relationship with respect and genuine care. My clients and colleagues describe me as approachable, consistent, and kind. I work hard to listen with intent, to create emotional safety, and to provide guidance in order to help clients identify unspoken needs and hurts, process trauma, and move toward their hopes and goals. I view therapy as sacred work and aim to incorporate a holistic approach to wellbeing. This includes providing trauma-informed care, somatic interventions, and at times referrals for additional services (such as medication management, TMS, or naturopathic services). I approach therapy with honor and respect, moving at each client’s pace to facilitate healing and growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person is worthy of dignity, respect, and has immeasurable value. This belief in the sacredness of humanity has led me to pursue a career in counseling. It is my honor and privilege to be allowed into the vulnerable stories and conversations that clients bring into my office. I believe that part of my role as a counselor is to identify the areas of hurt and marginalization in my clients and to provide honor and acceptance.
