We're all living in very stressful and frightening times, so anxiety is understandable - but that doesn't make chronic worry any easier to deal with! Most of my clients experience some degree of anxiety, and as someone who struggles with it personally, I empathize with how hard it can be to live that way. We'll work on ways to face fears and cope so you feel better in your body.
We almost all have had some experiences in our lives that have overwhelmed our ability to cope and led to a trauma response. We'll learn about the ways trauma lives in our bodies and practice self-soothing techniques and reauthoring your story.
The oppressive gender binary excludes so many of us and leaves us feeling confused, alone, and like we're not enough. We'll explore your gender journey and find ways that you can feel more authentically you in an accepting, nonjudgmental space.
Our earliest relationships with caregivers and the ways we learned to get our needs met often manifest in our adult relationships. We'll examine your attachment style, whether it's anxious, avoidant, disorganized, or a combination, and explore ways to heal your attachment wounds.
We all have younger selves - sub-personalities and parts - that live within us and have broken off at various times to cope with trauma and difficult life events. We'll get to know these parts and befriend them from the perspective of your healthy adult self.
The therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in the success of therapy. We'll build a rapport and examine the relationship patterns in your life that impact your well-being.
