About My Clients
Making the decision to go into therapy can be a difficult one. Learning to sit through discomfort can be challenging. I will make every effort to make this a smooth and easy process. The process works best when there is a good fit between the therapist and the client; when the client is committed to the work; and when the therapist tailors the therapeutic approaches. If you are committed to growth and change; if you are motivated to do the work; therapy can be a game changer!
My Background and Approach
I am an eclectic therapist, tailoring the therapeutic approaches to meet you where you are at. I am strongly oriented in CBT; MBT and solution focused approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in change. I believe when people are committed to change, change will happen. I value the inherent worth and dignity of all people and have spent a lifetime advocating for social justice causes. Multi-culturally trained and competent; experience in a multiple mental health milieu's; a staff member for 7 years at the local LGBT Community Center and a certification as a trauma practitioner, results in an experienced therapist.
