I firmly believe that effective therapy begins with creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can freely express their thoughts and emotions. Building a strong therapeutic alliance is paramount, as it allows individuals to feel understood and supported, which is especially vital when dealing with anxiety. From here we explore unconscious drives, thoughts, and experiences which oftentimes are at the very root of anxiety.
Men's issues encompass a broad spectrum of emotional and psychological challenges that often go unrecognized or unaddressed. Men are indoctrinated into rigid notions of masculinity, which can stifle emotional expression leaving them disconnected from others as well as themselves. I create a safe and non-judgmental space where men can explore their feelings and vulnerabilities without fear of judgment, allowing them to break free from these damaging stereotypes.
My approach to treating self-esteem issues often begins by delving into an individual's past. Childhood experiences, especially early relationships and attachments, significantly impact your relationship with yourself. Together we explore the internal dialogues and unconscious beliefs that contribute to your negative self-perceptions. These insights help clients recognize how they may be their own harshest critics and provide an opportunity to reframe their self-talk with compassion and empathy.
