About My Clients
There are so many reasons you may be looking into therapy. You might in a relationship that seems stuck in a distressing pattern of pain and are looking for hope. You may notice yourself overreacting, escaping, or coasting through life. You may find yourself in a season where you want deeper connection and feel ready to put in the work. You are not alone. One of the most courageous things we can do is open up to someone we trust and let them speak into our life. That is what I'm here for.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Texas. I received my undergraduate and masters degree from Abilene Christian University where I earned my Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked in church ministry for years, Intensive Outpatient treatment for addiction and mental health, and am now fully enjoying working in private practice. I specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals as well as pastors and their families. My hope is to join with you on this journey to develop fulfilling relationships, heal past wounds, and co-author with you a life story you want to live. Through this process we will take time to bring to light what is underneath your symptoms and through the process find growth. Using my background in family systems, I incorporate attachment research with existential and narrative practices to best help you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly believe that anything that can be injured in relationship can also be healed in relationship. Connection and meaning can be found even in the midst of conflict, confusion, or suffering.
