Individuals with anxiety may be persistently preoccupied with interpersonal relationships, health, performance in school or work. Reports suggest that there has been a marked increase in general anxiety since the pandemic began. Health concerns and financial instability for families can intensify symptoms of anxiety, making it challenging for people to manage life's stressors.

Affects about 7% of the population and it is important to note that anyone facing a MDD episode is at risk for suicidal behavior. People experiencing MDD may have diminished interest in activities, changes in appetite or sleep habits, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and/or recurrent thoughts of death.

People may address relationship issues in individual therapy and/or couples counseling. Treatment can be helpful in learning to better manage difficulties in marriages or families through improved communication and changing problematic behavior.
