About My Clients
If you're looking to develop better coping skills, learn more about your emotions, and connect with your authentic self and cultivate more joy in your life and relationships you're in the right place. I enjoy variety in my work and the opportunity to get creative with interventions. I tend to give out a fair bit of reading because I'm a bookworm. I have worked with all age ranges and a variety of populations, but currently am primarily working with adults, couples, and teens ages 16 and up.
My Background and Approach
I enjoy blending behavioral and experiential approaches to therapy. I'm a big believer in humanistic approaches that focus on finding my clients' inner strengths to help them find and connect with their most authentic selves. My goal is to build strong connections with all my clients because I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be a safe and healing space where you feel valued and accepted. I graduated from the California School of Professional psychology at Alliant in 2013. I have worked in community mental health settings, group practice, and private practice with a variety of age ranges and presenting concerns. I have had training in CBT, DBT, EFT, PCIT, and IFS. I am certified in Brainspotting and like to incorporate more somatic work into my therapy practice when I can to help people develop a stronger connection with their bodies and minds.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we can all stand to make the world a better place through the practice of compassion and healing wounded parts. I believe that everyone has a core self that is capable of healing. I believe that we all benefit when we uplift others. I believe in health at every size, therapies that affirm and uplift our unique, intersectional identities and experiences, and that therapy should be a place of fun, learning, challenge, and self-discovery.
