About My Clients
I have spent two decades working with young people and families--as an educator, social worker, activist, and psychotherapist. My practice is firmly rooted in the power of empathy and connection, and I embrace the chance to create a space where you can feel vulnerable, safe, and seen. I specialize in helping individuals and families work through trauma and change, and helping those struggling with feelings of powerlessness or feeling stuck.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach, with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and body-mind connection woven throughout. My practice is queer and trans-affirming and informed by anti-racist and anti-oppressive theory. In our sessions together, you can expect a warm, caring, and safe space, with a good dose of humor and honesty. My goal is to be your partner in this journey--to witness your pain as well as your growth. I value being fully present for this work. Through our time together, I will help you feel seen, understood, and valued.
