About My Clients
I view psychotherapy as an opportunity for self-exploration and growth as a part of overall health. My work is integrative, drawing from several types of therapy. Primarily, I think of our behaviors as the result of things we learned in our relationships (Interpersonal). I also incorporate therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders in Denver, CO. I am a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) and am an iaedp Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. As a CEDS-S iaedp Approved Supervisor, I am able to provide supervision to professionals seeking their CEDS credential. I am part of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) Network of treatment providers and am a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED). I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University and completed my doctoral psychology internship at the University of California, Davis in the Eating Disorder Emphasis program. I have specialized in the treatment of eating disorders since 2008.
