I have a passion for helping people feel at home in their bodies. This world works actively against us in this goal and we will explore the systemic issues to create body image distress and learn tools to help recognize and explore this.

Eating is complicated, we all started out as intuitive eaters but the messages of the world contracted this engrained truth within us. Emotional eating is a normal coping skill that should never be judged or demonized. We will work to explore this coping skill and how it shows up as workable or unworkable in your life, while also building a larger skill set for times of distress.

Eating Disorders impact people of all sizes, shapes, socio economic status, and racial backgrounds. You can't look and tell if someone struggles in this way and all people are deserving of support and recovery. My hope is to help people that other therapists might overlook.

Doing what matters is more important and more possible than changing thoughts and feelings. So many people spend all of their effort and energy on getting rid of unwanted thoughts and feelings. I work to challenge my clients to shift their focus on doing the things that matter most to them.

Everyone exists in a system and I love working within the system to bring about change.

Attending, Labeling, and Validating emotions is a crucial skill that we can all benefit from. I help teach families, couples, and individuals to be able to respond to their emotions in a way that is regulating and helpful.
