Counseling Associates of Utah is a person centered coalition of licensed and specialized therapists. We specialize in providing the best client-counselor fit and always strive to provide therapy at its best. Our counselors are person centered and are licensed as psychotherapists, social workers, family therapists, and/or clinical mental health counselors.
My Background and Approach
My career has centered around the treatment of adolescent, adult, and family mental health. I have worked in most modalities of care including; psychiatric inpatient, outpatient, wilderness therapy, and residential treatment. I have developed DBT programs in both residential and wilderness settings. I specialize in the treatment of suicide, self-injury, trauma, disordered eating, substance use disorders, and mood disorders using empirically supported therapies. Freedom from suffering is my primary goal using acceptance and change strategies to help you develop and live a life worth living. I work for you, not the other way around. Specialties: Intensively Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Trauma (and other) informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, targeting specific problem behavior. These include; Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Overcontrol, Inattention behaviors, Impulse and Anger Control, Regulation, and Mindfulness. Experienced in Divorce and Child Custody Mediation.
