About My Clients

I am an affirming and inclusive narrative therapist who utilizes somatic parts work and post-modern interventions to facilitate healing, specializing in supporting adults experiencing relationship issues, in the midst of major life transitions, grief and loss as well as systemic barriers and oppression. I approach therapy from a place of curiosity and heart, working with you to illuminate the powerful forces influencing your life story in support of your future goals and aspirations.

My Background and Approach

My previous work experience has included art and music therapy with children in grief, cognitive and behavioral work with adolescents navigating the foster-care system, movement therapy with adults suffering from Parkinson’s disease and more recently co-facilitating men’s recovery groups. I interned at People House this past year, where I provided sliding-scale therapy to adults seeking meaning and grounding in the midst of major life transitions including chronic illness and disability, job loss, being cut off from family, relationship endings as well as those tending to the grief and loss brought about by the sudden death of family members. Many of my clients are HSP’s (Highly Sensitive People) and those who have suffered from personal trauma, generational trauma and oppression, both within their family-of-origin and systemically as marginalized identities. I have served clients suffering from mood complexities as well as anxiety and depression.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In cultures that privilege individualism such as ours, emotions and relationships are rarely given the importance and value that they deserve, leaving many people feeling at a loss when it comes to supportive and meaningful ways to better understand and move through the experiences and feelings we go through in life. Very often, our minds try to deal with things in ways that increase our suffering, ignoring or diminishing the important feelings and experiences we have in community with others that provide glimpses into a life not dominated by the current problems at hand. Let us collaborate together to reconnect with the movement of your stories, hopes and innate capacities where self-discovery and joy reside.
